FC Südtirol has officially signed Kenny Meddy Mixtur, 22, until June 30, 2029. The Guadeloupe striker, who previously played in France’s third division with Villefranche-Beaujolais, joins the club on a three-year deal. Südtirol, currently 16th in Serie B with 41 points (8 wins, 17 draws, 13 losses in 38 games), is seeking reinforcements as it prepares for the next season, boasting an unbeaten streak in the last 5 matches (last result: 0-0 against Bari on May 22, 2026) and a home fixture against Kaiserslautern on July 25.
Who is Kenny Mixtur?
Born on October 9, 2003, in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, Mixtur began his career in the youth ranks of Juventus Sainte-Anne before moving to Europe in 2019 with Le Havre, then in France’s second division. After stints in the youth and reserve teams, he joined Progrès Niederkorn in Luxembourg in July 2023, where he scored 9 goals in 29 league appearances and won the national cup. In January 2025, he moved to Villefranche-Beaujolais, where he made 35 appearances and scored 3 goals over 18 months.
His international journey
Mixtur made his senior debut for Guadeloupe in November 2024 in the CONCACAF Nations League and participated in the Gold Cup in June 2025. His arrival at Südtirol strengthens the club’s attacking options, where the team has already scored 38 goals this season, though with a -10 goal difference (48 conceded).
Mixtur’s words on joining
«I greet the Südtirol fans and am thrilled to become part of the family», the striker said. «The club’s facilities impressed me from the first moment, and I can’t wait to take the field and support the team.» The next challenge for Südtirol will be against Kaiserslautern, with the team aiming to maintain its unbeaten streak as it navigates the battle for survival, currently 41 points behind Venezia in the table.
What this means for Südtirol
Mixtur’s signing comes at a crucial juncture for the club, which must address an attack still in search of consistency. Despite the 5-match unbeaten run, Südtirol has yet to secure a win since the draw against Bari. The new arrival could provide a much-needed boost, particularly in the coming direct clashes with mid-table rivals.
